This ongoing series is an exploration of identity, resilience, and connection - inspired by forced departures of photography and a long healing journey. It is a retrospective that moves through darkness, discouragement, a fragile belief that I could find photography again and the realization that I need it to feel whole.
Through this healed perspective, I began navigating deeper realms of introspection—creating and embodying the pieces I uncovered along the way. The work stands as an evolution of my being and my approach as both human and artist.
I traverse into the connections I now find with others; our sexuality, appearances, how we perceive and are perceived. I explore myself through others, and share what I see within them. The darkness, eroticism, confusion, beauty, hope, playfulness and pain.
Ultimately this body of work diverges from what I have been creating, but it also marks a shift back into concepts I have always been curious to explore. Topics I was not brave enough to share, or wise enough to comprehend. I do not know the destination but the journey feels right and I believe the road we find ourselves on is the one we need.
